ECDC has been in operation since 1981 and has seen incredible growth and support over the past years. Our program has grown from 37 children in 2000 to over 350 children in 2014. We provide Quality childcare and preschool for the Evanston, Wyoming area. ECDC has achieved NAEYC Accreditation and the Early Head Start Childcare Partnership grant!

Mission Statement:
The Evanston Child Development Center believes
that children and staff should work and learn in a safe and caring environment. We are committed to provide the highest quality care to meet each child's individual needs. Every child deserves to be happy, healthy, and loved!
Our Purpose:
To prepare children for success in school and beyond, creating life-long learners. Our program is facilitated and supported by the Wyoming Department of Education and we are observed by representatives of the Department to ensure quality in our program. We utilize research based curriculum that is founded on developmentally appropriate practices. Research shows that children learn best through meaningful play and interactions.
National Association for the Education of Young Children
Early childhood programs accredited by NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation voluntarily undergo a comprehensive process of internal self-study and improvement. Each NAEYC-Accredited program must
meet all 10 of the NAEYC Early Childhood
Program Standards: Relationships, Curriculum, Teaching, Assessment of Child Progress, Health, Teachers, Families, Community Relationships, Physical Environment, Leadership and Management. NAEYC Accreditation is the mark of quality.

Early Head Start:
Research shows that children who participate in Early Head Start are positively affected in the areas of health, language, and social-emotional development. Participation positively affects parenting behaviors, such as supportiveness for children's emotional and literacy development, and family self-sufficiency.
Early Head Start encourages the role of parents as their child's first and most important teachers. Programs build relationships with families that support positive parent-child relationships, family well-being, and connections to peers and community.

Our Staff:
Preschool teachers at ECDC have degrees in Early childhood and/or Education. The teachers stay current with changing curriculum, and participate in many local and out of town training. Our class sizes are small, so we can work one-on-one with the children.
Infant and Toddler teachers at ECDC have their Children's Development Associates (CDA) and their Infant/Toddler Credential. They also stay current with curriculum, and go to training to better themselves and their classrooms.
ECDC is continuously striving for grant funding to provide the top of the line equipment and supplies. ECDC strives to provide the best!
